No one else seems to be reporting about cost for boulevard transformation vs higher cost for rebuilding freeway.

Thx

While we're on the topic of reclaiming land/homes/lives taken away, let's take the time to consider the history of the primarily Polish neighborhood that was usurped by then "Honorable" Mayor Young for the Poletown plant construction. Check out this article that was put out by the City of Detroit on the Poletown Plant - the title of the story - In retrospect, GM's Poletown plant was a pretty terrible idea if we're being honest. Use of eminent domain led to the destruction of a vibrant, ethnic neighborhood

Why does the freeway have to be rebuilt? I was not aware of that freeway needing to be rebuilt at all. I really think that 1st, "we need to fix the damn roads" in MI & that was the slogan that the Governor ran on. So let's "1st fix all the roads in MI" "before" filling in the 375 Freeway to create a Blvd. Lastly, it was not only Black Bottom businesses & neighborhood that was destroyed when the freeways were built but also other Detroit neighborhoods, grand historic homes, & long-standing Latin business district stores & buildings such as huge swath of Mexicantown along Bagley St. & Hubbard Richard Neighborhood homes & Historic Hubbard Farms District homes & other sections of Southwest Detroit where I-75 was built! So, how do we STOP this spending on this blvd. UNTIL ALL ROADS IN MI ARE FIXED??
